Infant Massage

Infant Massage incorporates nurturing touch, massage and reflexology in a loving, fun, one-on-one interaction which fosters the healthy development of baby’s mind, body and spirit.

Benefits for infants, babies and children include the following:

• Promotes relaxation and helps babies self-regulate calm, which reduces crying

• Helps baby/child to sleep deeper and more soundly

• Helps to improve pain managament; can relieve discomfort from teething,
• Helps with congestion, gas, and colic
• Enhances release of hormones in the body. The growth hormone can be stimulated which helps weight gain.
• Reduces levels of cortisol, the stress hormone
• Provides all of the essential indicators of intimate parent-infant bonding and attachment: eye-to-eye, touch, voice, smell, movement, and thermal regulation.
• Stimulates all of the physiological systems. Massage sparks the neurons in their brains to grow and branch out to encompass other neurons.

Dawn received her Infant Massage training and certification from International Association of Infant Massage (IAIM).

All Infant Massage class families will receive a handout with all of the strokes listed and a sample of oil made with Young Living Essential Oils.

 

Infant Massage Class Options:

            *Private in home class

            *Gather your friends and family with infants or children and have a massage party

            *Schedule a class with your moms group, ECFE, daycare center etc.
