Lactation Support

Dawn provides individual lactation consultations for families with a child of any age, whether they are having difficulties, or simply want support and education concerning breastfeeding.  She offers home and office visits to help women and babies with a host of issues concerning breastfeeding. These issues may include:

• Difficulties with latch, positioning

 

• Sore or injured nipples

 

• Engorgement

 

• Baby who is fussy or sleepy at the breast

 

• Excessive weight loss or inadequate weight gain

 

• Concern about milk supply

 

• Multiples

 

• Illness, prematurity, or baby's development that interfere with breastfeeding

 

• Bringing baby to breastfeeding after finger feeding, bottle feeding, nipple shields, formula, or other supplementation or feeding methods
